Sponsored by Chevron, this scholarship is awarded to high-achieving undergraduate Black students who are enrolled in an accredited four-year college and pursue a degree in business, engineering, technology or related majors.

This scholarship opportunity is open to rising sophomores.

Tatiana Bell

Tatiana Bell takes great pride is majoring in Business Analytics at Florida A&M University (FAMU). Hailing from Tampa, Tatiana was honored to excel in the pageant world, serving as Miss Florida HBCU Teen and Miss Juneteenth Tampa Bay. Through these experiences, she has honed her public speaking, leadership, and communication skills, furthered her personal growth and developing her ability to inspire and motivate others. Alongside her academic pursuits, Tatiana has gained valuable work experience at the YMCA and Publix. These roles have provided her with essential skills in time management, teamwork, and customer service, shaping her into a well-rounded professional.

Bolutife Idowu is a first-generation engineering student at Texas A&M pursuing a degree in computer science that has a passion for innovation and problem-solving. As an ambitious and dedicated individual, Bolutife has always been driven to excel academically and pursue his dreams of becoming an accomplished engineer. He brings to the table an unrelenting work ethic, a keen eye for detail, and a willingness to learn and grow. Bolutife is committed to utilizing his skills and knowledge to create solutions to complex problems and contribute to the world in a meaningful way. With a strong foundation in STEM and a drive to succeed, Bolutife is well-equipped to make an impact in the field of engineering and beyond. Kayla Magruder is majoring in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. Kayla is actively involved in various extracurricular activities and academic societies. She was a member of the National Honor Society, STEMS Mentoring Society, Sports Analytics Club, Drone Academy, and the Spanish Honor Society. Her dedication and hard work have already been recognized, as she has become a Myerhoff Scholar, a prestigious honor for outstanding students. Additionally, Kayla actively participated in The University System of Maryland's Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation Research Symposium, showcasing her commitment to research and academic excellence. She achieved remarkable success in her first semester, maintaining a perfect 4.0 GPA and earning recognition on the President's List.

Katherine Parker

Katherine Parker is a Corporate Communication major at the University of Texas at Austin. A fifth generation Texan, Katherine is a proud Longhorn and a student in the Moody Honors Program. Currently, she is a copy editor at The Daily Texan and works as a Longhorn Digital Ambassador. Katherine is also a member of the Black Honors Student Association, PRSSA (Public Relations Student Society of America), Haven, and the National Association of Black Journalists. Prior to college, she served as the Managing Editor of The Hawk Eye, Hebron High School s newspaper that garnered national awards. She created, produced and hosted a podcast called Asking for a Friend. Last summer, Katherine was chosen to participate in the high school mentorship program at Dallas Morning News. When she is not studying, Katherine enjoys reading, cooking, and spending time outdoors.

Bryce Perkins

Bryce Perkins is a finance major at Howard University. On campus, Bryce is an active member of the School of Business Executive Leadership Honors program. He is also involved in the finance/operations committee of Howard's Scholars of Finance chapter, where he engages with like-minded individuals to deepen his knowledge and understanding of the finance industry. Additionally, Bryce holds a position as a finance/real estate sector analyst at the Howard University Investment Group, gaining valuable hands-on experience and insights into investment strategies and analysis. Beyond campus, Bryce's impressive involvement continues. He has participated in Goldman Sachs' Possibilities programs, demonstrating his eagerness to learn and engage with industry professionals. He has also been recognized as a Deloitte HBCU Emerging Leader, which further highlights his exceptional potential and leadership qualities. Raised in Chicago, Illinois, Bryce enjoys various activities in his spare time, including bouldering, working out, and watching movies.
