Sponsored by Moody’s, this scholarship is awarded to high-achieving Black students attending a four-year college or university. This scholarship opportunity is open to rising sophomores currently classified as freshmen at the time of their application submission.
Twelve (12) scholarship awardees will receive a three-year, need-based scholarship in the amount of $10,000 per year to assist with educational expenses for three academic years. The scholarship will be paid directly to the awardees’ college/university and will be disbursed in equal amounts for the awardees’ fall and spring semesters (i.e., $5,000 per semester). Scholars will be required to resubmit their transcripts and meet the 3.0 GPA criteria at the end of the 2022 and 2023 academic years. If a Scholar’s GPA does not meet the criteria, the Scholar will forfeit the scholarship award in 2022-2023 and 2023-2024.
